In a dignified attempt to help the needful, Lucknow Explorer organized the ‘One City One Community’ event on Friday, 15th December 2015. Team Lucknow Explorer collaborated with Unity College, a charitable project being run under the supervision of Dr. Kalbe Sadiq to make the event a grand success.
The occasion, graced by the presence of Dr. Kalbe Sadiq, witnessed the collection of around 300 Kilograms of used clothes from the students of Unity School. All these clothes were distributed among the needful in various areas of Lucknow, including Aishbagh and IndraNagar.
The organizers also distributed certificates and exclusive Lucknow Explorer Mugs to the students for their active participation in the noble event. Overwhelmed by the striking success of the occasion, the founders of Lucknow Explorer, have pledged to make ‘One City One Community’ event an annual affair. They expressed to make it even bigger and better the next year, with new charity targets.
Earlier in the day, the lush green ground of Unity College saw a massive collection of clothes intended to be distributed among the needful citizens of Lucknow. The event received thriving response throughout, owing to the noteworthy cooperation of Mr. Francis Castelino, the Principal of Unity College and Ms. Nisar Fatima, the College Counselor, popularly known as Nisar Ma’m.
Notably, this is not the first time when Unity College has contributed whole heartedly in any such event. In fact, the school holds a history of organizing and participating in many more of such occasions under the guidance of its founder Mr. Kalbe Sadiq, an internationally acclaimed scholar, reformer, thinker, preacher, and educationist himself. Some other of his charitable, educational projects include Tauheedul Muslimeen Trust, Unity Mission School, Lucknow, and more. Mr. Kalbe Sadiq is also the President of The Era’s Medical College & Hospital Lucknow.
Lucknow Explorer, a promising initiative to bring forth the prominent activities of the city as well as the state, has also been instrumental in handling the ‘One City One Community’ event. Through its website, it depicts the glorious past of the Awadh and the electrifying life of the modern day Lucknow that continues to amaze and tempt the visitors to come here repeatedly.
